Lesson 7 of 7

A five-minute routine for pools

An order for the screens that gets you from a long table to one pool you understand.

This routine takes about five minutes and ends with a pool you understand, or none.

The routine

  • Set the scope (minute one). Pick a quick filter such as Fee-backed only or TVL of at least $5M, and a chain. Sort by Total APR, or by TVL if depth comes first for you.
  • Scan the bar and the read (minute two). Amber-heavy rows are incentive yield. Set aside the ones marked High IL risk or Above recent average.
  • Open two or three pools (minutes three and four). On each page read the checklist, then the composition and the gap to the 30-day mean.
  • Size against TVL (minute five). Decide on a deposit that is a small fraction of the pool, and what you will do if the reward ends.

Then stop

The table describes pools as of the last sync, about every 15 minutes. It cannot see your position, your gas costs, or contract risk. Treat it as a way to look in the right places, and read the protocol's own page before you deposit anything.

See it on the data.

Figures come from public data providers and are approximations. Education, not financial advice. Providing liquidity can lose money.
